Explanation of Expenses for Events
Facility Fee:
We offer four all-inclusive packages to customize your event. This fee covers the overhead expenses of the event venue space for the allotted amount of time. This cost also includes set-up and clean-up of the event. If a change of set-up is required more than once during your event, there will be an additional $250.00 charge.
Rooms:
We recommend that you reserve the entire property for your event. We offer a 20% discount on all rooms if you reserve all rooms when you confirm your event with a signed contract and the event deposit. A 20% non-refundable deposit on the total cost of the rooms is required to guarantee the reservation of all accommodations.
Staff:
Our Coordinator will determine how many staff members will be needed for your event. The costs for each server is $25.00 an hour, which includes one hour each for set-up and clean- up. If alcohol is served at the event, a bartender is required at a cost of $35 per hour per bartender. A Security Guard is required by The Sanford House for any event serving alcohol at $55.00 an hour. The number of bartenders and Security Guards are determined by the Event Director and are based on the number of guests you have booked.
Linens:
Events come with white polyester linens. You can select to upgrade linens, for an additional charge, through the event coordinator. We have an extensive line of special linens that will add a signature touch to your event.
Food and Beverage:
Our Executive Chef will create any menu for your event. We do not allow any outside catering. Beverages, including water, tea, and sodas are not included in bar packages and are priced separately in your catering costs and depending on your selection of drinks.
Bar:
There are 3 options for bar packages:
1. Cash Bar: where your guests pay for their own drinks.
2. Hosted Bar: where you purchase an amount of alcohol that will be served to your guests. We will stock the bar with extra beverages, so if your guests consume all of the hosted bar, it will then become a cash bar.
3. Bar Packages are the most popular option, since this allows your guests a selection of beverages for the entire event. You can meet with our bar manager to discuss your beverage selection, brands, wine selections, or signature beverages as desired for your event.
Cake Cutting:
The Sanford House Staff always performs the cutting of the cake. We provide plates, forks, napkins, cake server, and an expert server to cut and serve your cake. This option is included in the Stardust Package. For other package options, the cost is $150.
Small Events in the Cafe or Manor House
The Sanford House offers an ideal place to host a variety of social events including bridal showers, baby showers, and bridal luncheons, and business meetings. Several areas are available for hosting your event. Pricing of the rooms depends on the time of day and number of hours desired. For Groups over 10, we have an option to pre-order your menu selection. (18% gratuity is added to any group over 6 persons) To book your event with this option, please contact our receptionist or call 817.861.2129.
